These sculptures are only a few pieces in a Clay & Glass Chess Set I am making for my den. Although I have allot of work still left, I thought I'd change the pace and do some photo set ups and lighting experiments with these pieces of the set from what I have so far and take advantage of this ability to share them with you.

These, you see here are the dark side, the main pieces around three to four inches tall, the pawns are about two inches tall and the chess board will be made up of leaded stain glass of which each square will be about four inches with wooden sides, legs and storage draws. I also plan on lighting the stain glass top from underneath to add to this set's entire feel.

It's already shaping up to be a very fun project, even for my children and a nice break from the typical product modeling. I hope you will also find this to be a very unique chess set and check back to see more pieces later.
